We anticipate the maintenance to last through the close of business on Friday. The work completed on the 15th will be important for a future SoCal Edison outage, when generators are running and the campus should be unimpacted. This work will repair the generator and prevent interruptions like this in the future. This repair was previously scheduled, but due to an unforeseen issue with a back-up generator, it was postponed until now. In addition, card readers will be offline intermittently. The cellular towers that serve the colleges will also be disrupted, so please plan to have limited or no cellular service during this time as well. Because of the nature of the outages, you should plan to have no internet nor remote access to your on-campus computer for the duration of the repair work being done at TCCS. Please prepare for multiple power interruptions. Throughout the day, all buildings on the Scripps campus will lose power intermittently. On Friday, January 15 beginning at 8 a.m., the Claremont Colleges will be completing maintenance on the electrical substation located at TCCS. Please make note of tomorrow’s planned power outage, which may result in some disruption of teleservices and access to portals, Sakai and other connections.
